Mobile C { C/C++ Compiler } App Reviews

This compiler is far from reaching the C99 standard. Less commonly used features like unions, the register keyword, goto statements, inline asm, and casting a non-constant to a constant pointer all cause this compiler to crash when identical code works perfectly on the gnu gcc compiler. The performance is very poor, even for a phone - all the variables might as well be volatile and none of the instructions may be optimized. If you purchase this app, keep in mind that it functions as a beginners introductory learning tool and that it cannot compile real code - like the gnu libc source code - that can compile in a fully functional compiler.

Despite all the negative comments I bought it, and it does everything I need from it. Lets me design a simple algorithm while I am idle. There is no way to develop serious stuff using this app, but it is awesome to keep me busy. Thanks for the simple GUI and a good app.

Wish it had a better ui and run C++ codes BUT at least it has an internal compiler for c. Wish for better changes soon!!!

The app name suggests it supports c++ features that are not included in Cs feature set. What are those? I only see support for features in the C subset. There appears to no support for basic C++ features like streams (eg cout) or stl (eg vector).

It seems to only compile c and not c++ was disappointed especially since I rarely buy apps.

Yes, its not a compiler, but its close enough that you wont notice the difference. Works great for prototyping code ideas on the run. It would be nice to be able to pick my own font, but the fact this app is available is enough for 5 stars. Thanks for making it!

User inputs work great until it encounters a for loop. It accepts the first input but will freeze or close after that

I did some c programming back in the early 90s and I recently got an iPad. So i found the compiler on the app store and decided to try it out...makes the train time go quickly. I like it, but am doing very simple programs. For a compiler to use on the iPad it serves the purpose.

It even has a shell emulator! Csh in your program directory.

Update: very well done! Most impressive compiler available. Nice app, keep going and ignore the haters. App buyers are basically lazy, whiny complainers. Apple should charge folks money for writing negative reviews, wed get more honest reviews and this would encourage more App developers.

This is a very usable C compiler and editor program. It makes it possible to write programs in C on iPad. Interface is clear, you can organize your source codes in a file structure. Big plus for the programss author for updating this software.
